What ages do your programs serve?

JDS Creative Academy offers programs for children, teens, and adults. Some programs are designed specifically for youth, while others serve adults and workforce development participants.

Do you offer programs for individuals with special needs?

Yes. JDS Creative Academy proudly offers inclusive programs and a workforce development day program specifically designed to support adults with special needs and disabilities.

How do I register for a class or program?

Can I support JDS Creative Academy even if I am not participating in a program?

Absolutely. Community members can support our mission through donations, sponsorships, partnerships, volunteering, and attending events.

Do I need prior experience to participate?

Not at all! Our programs are designed to welcome a variety of experience levels. Whether you're trying something creative for the first time or looking to continue developing your skills, there's a place for you at JDS Creative Academy.

Do you offer scholarships or financial assistance?

Yes! We believe cost shouldn't be a barrier to creativity. Scholarship opportunities may be available for qualifying programs and participants. Contact our team to learn more about current financial assistance options.

What types of classes and programs does JDS Creative Academy offer?

JDS Creative Academy offers both creative arts classes and a separate job training program for adults with developmental disabilities.

Our creative classes are open to the community and include opportunities in acting, musical theater, filmmaking, scriptwriting, production, and other areas of the arts.

Our Title 17 Job Training Program is a separate program designed to help adults with developmental disabilities build workplace, communication, and independent living skills through hands-on experience in the creative and digital arts.

You do not need to be enrolled in the Job Training Program to take a JDS Creative Academy creative class.

Do you offer acting classes?

Yes! Acting classes and private coaching are offered through JDS Actors Studio, part of the JDS Studio family. JDS Actors Studio works closely with JDS Creative Academy, with programs and creative opportunities often happening under the same roof.
