What is JDS Creative Academy?
JDS Creative Academy is a Nonprofit 501c3
JDSCA inspires and enhances education and training in the visual, performing and digital arts.
We serve over 750 people annually. Our facility is over 7,000 square feet in Temecula, CA and our target population is anyone looking for an education in the arts or enrichment in the STEM to STEAM model of education. We serve many populations: foster, trauma, and autistic youth as well as autistic young adults, and the general population ages four to adult.
In March 2017 we became a Video Production State Approved Apprenticeship program in partnership with the State of California and Mt. San Jacinto College. Our apprenticeship has 10 O'Net job codes.
We are also a full-service training vendor for Inland Regional Center, servicing up to 30 adults with developmental disabilities. We are the first Riverside County program to serve this population with video production training; we are the only program of this kind with a monthly nationwide news magazine broadcast and a weekly radio news broadcast.
We also work with VIP, Exceed, and the Department of Rehabilitation who send us disabled and autistic adults to whom we teach job skills. We collaborate with the Temecula Unified School's CTE department and digital/video production instructors to provide hands-on learning and internship opportunities to their high school population.
We are a collaborative group that enjoys creativity, passion, education, training, creative enrichment, and friends. We also have a lot of fun! Be a part of classes, events, camps, and productions. Volunteers are always welcome!
