What is JDS Creative Academy?
JDS Creative Academy is a Nonprofit 501c3
JDSCA was founded in 2014 with a mission to inspire, educate and enhance education and training in the visual, performing and digital arts. JDSCA serves over 750 people annually. Our facility is over 7,000 square feet in Temecula, CA and our target population is anyone looking for an education in the arts or enrichment in the STEM to STEAM model of education. We serve many populations: foster, trauma, and autistic youth as well as autistic young adults, and the general population ages four to adult.
In March 2017 we became a Video Production State Approved Apprenticeship program. This partnership with the Sate of California and Mt. San Jacinto College allows us to employ up to ten apprentices.
We are also a full-service training vendor for Inland Regional Center, servicing up to 30 adults with developmental disabilities. Although other nonprofits serve this population with video production training, there are none in Riverside County, and we are the only program of this kind that will be producing a weekly news broadcast and interacting with the community.
We also work with VIP, Exceed, and the Department of Rehabilitation who send us disabled and autistic adults to whom we teach job skills. We collaborate with the Temecula Unified School's CTE department and digital/video production instructors to provide hands-on learning and internship opportunities to their high school population.
We are a collaborative group who enjoy creativity, passion, education, training, creative enrichment and friends. We also have a lot of fun! Be a part of classes, events, camps, and productions. Volunteers are always welcome!
